Dr. Sik-Loo Tan, a senior lecturer at the Universiti Malaya. Her research focused on regenerative medicine using stem cells and disease models (in vitro or in vivo) as well as cell and gene therapy (CGTP) research. Her research in stem cells and tissue engineering has garnered numerous local and international travel grants and scientific awards, including the Young Investigator Award in Molecular Medicine, the ISSCR travel grant, the ISCOMS fellowship etc. She is a recognized expert in her field, serving as a reviewer for the MyCEB-TESMA travel award, as a Guest Editor for the Tissue Engineering journal, and as a reviewer for local and international grants such as EPSRC. She has more than 10 years of experience in curriculum development, specifically in the regenerative medicine program. She's the program coordinator for the Master of Medical Science and Regenerative Medicine for 8 years, since 2018. She is actively engaging with the various stakeholders in the field of regenerative medicine. Dr Sik-Loo Tan is always looking for motivated potential PhD or Masters candidates to join her research group.
