Professor Dr. See Mee-Hoong is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). She graduated from UPM in 2003 and completed her Master of Surgery at University Malaya in 2011, followed by oncoplastic training in Malaysia and Thailand. She later advanced her expertise in cryoablation and robotic breast surgery in Japan and Taiwan. As Head of the Breast and Endocrine Surgery Unit at UMMC, she has pioneered minimally invasive breast surgeries and will introduce robotic nipple-sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction in 2025. Her research focuses on oncoplastic techniques, ERAS protocols, decision aids, and intraoperative radiotherapy. Dr. See is a 2024 Council Member of Breast Surgical International and active in IOPBS and IERBS. She leads the Asian Breast Surgery Forum (ABSF) under Project ECHO®, connecting 12 countries. She also serves as Deputy Head of the Visibility Unit at UM’s Faculty of Medicine, driving regional collaboration and innovation in breast surgery.
