Datin Sri Prof. Dr Suhaiza Hanim Mohamad Zailani is a distinguished scholar and leading expert in supply chain management, with a strong focus on sustainability and halal ecosystems. Her global impact is reflected in her consistent recognition as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for six consecutive years (2020–2025), where she stands out as the only Malaysian scholar from the social sciences to achieve this distinction. In addition, she was recently awarded the Research Excellence Award at the World Green Energy Awards, recognising her excellence and contributions to research related to green energy and sustainability. At the national level, she was honoured as a Fellow and Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM) in 2024 and 2025 by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research excellence and societal impact. In 2025, Elsevier and the Ministry of Higher Education also awarded her the Malaysia Scopus Research Excellence Award (Societal Impact). At Universiti Malaya, prestigious recognitions, including Distinguished Researcher (2016) and Most Cited Researcher (2024), have consistently acknowledged her excellence. Internationally, she received multiple Emerald Literati Awards for Excellence (2016, 2019, and 2023). With all these achievements, she has been promoted to the VK6 academic grade at Universiti Malaya, effective 5 June 2026.
