I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. Previously, I worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Swinburne University of Technology, Federation University Australia, and UNSW, Sydney. I earned my PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University, Australia; an MPhil and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia and DUET Bangladesh. I am the inventor of various formulas, including the hydrogen readiness level (HRL) index, the correlation between hydrogen and metallisation rate in green steelmaking, and the particle fragmentation index in gasification. Since 2022, I have been ranked in the world’s top 2% of scientists, publishing over 75 research articles, which have garnered about 6,000 citations and an H-index of 31. I have secured multiple national and international grants and have been awarded various prestigious awards, including the Academic Excellence Award by the Dhaka University Alumni Association Malaysia and the postgraduate publication award from Monash University. I have supervised dozens of PhD and master’s students while serving as an associate and guest editor for three international journals.
