As a dedicated and passionate Malaysian researcher, Dr. Sarmila Muthukrishnan has accomplished numerous accolades and achievements in her field. She holds a PhD in Aquaculture (Mainly studying on the interaction of the bacteria) and MSc degrees in Sustainability Science and Microbial Biotechnology. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya, Dr. Sarmila has over 10 years of R&D experience conducting in-depth research and analysis, with a particular focus on biotechnology, bacteriology, and disease studies. Her research expertise includes investigating diverse avenues in areas like shrimp disease, microbial biotechnology, quorum sensing, quorum quenching, food safety and aquaculture to achieve desired outcomes. Dr. Sarmila is a certified trainer and has participated in various prestigious workshops and conferences. Her contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Researcher awards. She is a prolific publisher, with several peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals to her credit.
