DR. PRASHANT NARESH SAMBERKAR

Dr Prashant Naresh Samberkar is a distinguished academic and pathologist specialising in forensic pathology, with over 28 years of experience in enhancing medical education and research. As a Medical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, he shapes the curriculum for the UMMP-MBBS and Master of Pathology (Forensic) programs. His work includes developing a comprehensive forensic curriculum for undergraduate students, first established in 2008 and revised in 2013, and organizing seminars to promote knowledge exchange among professionals. Dr. Samberkar is also deeply involved in research, contributing to various projects, including a significant FRGS Grant with Harvard University, and leading several non-funded initiatives. His extensive publication record in international journals and contributions to medical jurisprudence textbooks highlight his commitment to scholarship. Additionally, he serves as a chief and external examiner for multiple programs across Malaysia and has conducted numerous autopsies and crime scene investigations, enriching both his teaching and research initiatives.
