Siti Fairus Abdul Sani, Associate Professor at Universiti Malaya, is a renowned researcher and educator in Radiation and Medical Physics. She was recently awarded the Anugerah Saintis Muda Negara 2024 for her impactful work in radiation science. With a PhD from the University of Surrey (2015), she has published 123 papers, holds an H-index of 20, and has over 1,000 citations. Her research spans radiation applications in medicine, industry, and the environment, including dosimetry, radioactivity, radiation sterilization, and Monte Carlo simulations. She has led UM’s Radiation Laboratory, supervised over 70 students, and served as Deputy Head of the Radiation Protection Services Unit. A certified Radiation Protection Officer, she actively presents at global conferences and nominated for the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. Her work is supported by multiple grants, including RM400,000 from Princess Nourah University. She champions STEM education by training teachers, creating science-art modules, and judging national science competitions. Her work supports several UN SDGs, particularly in health, education, innovation, climate action, and global partnerships.
