Dr. Mohamad Razif bin Mohamad Fuad is a Lecturer in the Department of Usuluddin and Dakwah, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya. His academic specialisation includes Islamic theology (ʿaqīdah), the critical study of theosophical and esoteric currents in religious thought, comparative religion, and Islamic thought, with a particular focus on atheism. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in ʿAqīdah and Religion Studies from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia and a Master’s degree in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He earned his PhD in ʿAqīdah and Islamic Thought from the University Malaya, awarded with distinction, for a comparative study of Muslim and Christian critiques of New Atheist arguments. His research centres on New Atheism and secular thought, Islamic theology (kalām), and classical and contemporary Islamic philosophy, with a particular focus on the epistemology and psychology of disbelief, arguments for the existence of God, reason–revelation relations, and comparative religion, especially Islam–Christian engagement and philosophy of religion.
