Dr Rabi’ah Al-Adawiyah Rahmat is a dental lecturer and specialist forensic odontologist at Universiti Malaya whose work integrates forensic dentistry, forensic DNA, oral and maxillofacial imaging, and emerging digital technologies. Trained at the University of Adelaide, Australia, she holds a Graduate Diploma in Forensic Odontology and a PhD in Forensic DNA, complementing her Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Her academic and professional portfolio spans teaching, clinical and forensic casework, postgraduate supervision, research leadership, and national and international professional service. Her research focuses on dental age estimation, forensic human identification, DNA recovery and preservation from teeth, post-mortem changes, CBCT and three-dimensional imaging, radiation-related research, and artificial intelligence applications in dentistry. She has led and contributed to competitively funded university, national, international, and industry-supported projects, including the development of AI-assisted age-estimation models and predictive approaches using dental and imaging data. Dr Rabi’ah is also an invited speaker, reviewer, examiner, and academic assessor, contributing her expertise across multidisciplinary forensic and dental platforms. Her achievements include multiple research presentation and service awards, reflecting sustained excellence in scholarship and professional contribution. Beyond academia, she actively promotes public understanding of forensic science and advocates for vulnerable and underprivileged children, particularly through initiatives addressing identity, welfare, education, and access to opportunities.
