Dr. Elaine Yen Nee Oon is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Universiti Malaya with a PhD and MPhil from Cambridge University and a first class honours degree from La Trobe University, Australia. A former World Bank scholar and a Chartered Accountant (MIA, CPA Australia), she serves as Program Coordinator for the Master of Accounting and Deputy Chief Editor of the Scopus-indexed Asian Journal of Business & Accounting. She is also an Honorary Research Associate at Cambridge Judge Business School. Her research, positioned at the forefront of corporate governance, strategic management accounting, and digital transformation, is published in high-impact international journals, including Corporate Governance, Management Decision, Finance Research Letters, and Asian Review of Accounting. As Principal Investigator, she has secured competitive research funding and leads multidisciplinary projects. She has graduated four PhD candidates and over 20 Master's students and has received international best paper and best reviewer awards, reflecting her growing impact and international recognition in academia.
