Dr. Nurul Aida Binti Noor Azizi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya. Prior to joining academia, she served for over 17 years at Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), rising to the position of Deputy Chief Librarian, with leadership experience spanning Research Support and Reference Services, Collection Development and Resources, Quality Assurance and Governance, and Talent Development. She holds a Diploma, Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science in Information Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA, and obtained her PhD in Library and Information Science from Universiti Malaya, supported by a Ministry of Higher Education scholarship. Her doctoral research offered a fundamental reorientation in how LIS education understands professional formation, advancing original arguments on structured experiential learning and contributing an original framework with implications for curriculum reform, institutional policy, and professional accreditation. Her research interests encompass information behaviour, academic librarianship, and information and digital literacy. She has published in reputable peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Librarianship and Information Science, Library Hi Tech, and the Journal of Information Science, and collaborates with research teams across Malaysia and internationally. She is a Certified ATLAS.ti Professional Trainer and holds an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Lead Auditor certification.
