Dr. Norwahyuni Mohd Yusof is a Senior Lecturer at Rimba Ilmu, UM Agroforestry, Universiti Malaya (UM) with over nine years of experience in research and higher education. She holds a Diploma in Wood Industry and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Bio-Composite Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Biocomposite Technology and Design from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Her expertise lies in sustainable bio-composites, laminated bamboo and advanced materials science with a strong focus on structural performance and innovative applications of bio-based materials for construction and manufacturing. She has extensive experience in experimental design, mechanical testing and statistical analysis using Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and has published in reputable high-impact journals. Dr. Norwahyuni serves as the Secretariat for the Malaysia Kenaf Grading Rules (MKGR) and is actively involved in the development of the Malaysia Laminated Bamboo Standard, contributing to national standardization initiatives. She is committed to advancing sustainable material innovation while fostering academic–industry collaboration and delivering quality, research-driven teaching and supervision.
