DR. NOER EL HIDAYAH BINTI ISMAIL

Dr. Noer El Hidayah Binti Ismail, P.Geol is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geology, Universiti Malaya, with over a decade of expertise in Near-Surface Geophysics. She holds a PhD in Exploration Geophysics from Universiti Sains Malaysia and specializes in electrical, seismic, and potential methods to address environmental and engineering challenges. A prolific researcher and leader, she serves as the Program Coordinator for BSc Applied Geology and is an Associate Editor for the Malaysian Journal of Science. She has several national research projects focused on geothermal energy and karstic geohazards. Her work is evidenced by extensive publications in high-impact ISI and Scopus-indexed journals, alongside her role as a technical consultant for major infrastructure and geotechnical safety projects. Committed to academic excellence, she has supervised dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate students while serving as an external examiner and curriculum assessor for leading Malaysian universities. As a Registered Professional Geologist with BoG, she bridges the gap between academic theory and industrial application.
