Dr. Nina Sakinah Ahmad Rofaie is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Decision Science, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics, and a PhD in Mathematical Modelling from Universiti Malaya. Her academic expertise includes applied statistics, data analytics, performance measurement, benchmarking, efficiency analysis, and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), with a focus on applying quantitative methods to complex business, social, and industry challenges. Her research interests encompass the halal economy, halal industry, low-carbon development, performance measurement, applied statistics, and social statistics. Her halal research focuses on halal talent development, halal training, halal consumer behaviour, halal market growth, and Muslim-friendly tourism. Her emerging sustainability research explores decarbonisation, environmental performance, energy efficiency, and carbon emissions. Dr. Nina has contributed to national research and consultancy initiatives, including Malaysia’s National Halal Policy 2035, halal talent development, halal market outlook, and Muslim-friendly tourism. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to books, conference proceedings, policy papers, and technical reports. Her interdisciplinary research integrates quantitative methods with business and social science perspectives to generate evidence-based insights for industry, policymakers, and society. She is also actively involved in academic leadership, postgraduate supervision, research evaluation, and professional service, with a commitment to advancing data-driven decision-making and sustainable development.
