Dr. Noor Hayaty is a distinguished academic and clinician with over 35 years of experience spanning clinical practice, research, academic leadership, and higher education management at both national and international levels. She holds a BDS (Universiti Malaya), MSc in Conservative Dentistry (London), and PhD in Dental Materials (Newcastle). She is currently a Contract Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya. Her leadership roles include Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2020–2022), and Director of the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) Overseas Hub in Malaysia (2020–2023), reflecting her strong international engagement. During her 33-year tenure at Universiti Malaya, she served as Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry, Deputy Dean (Development; Research and Innovation), and Dean of the Health and Well-being Research Cluster, leading interdisciplinary research and innovation initiatives. Internationally, she has held key leadership positions within the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Southeast Asian Division, contributing to regional research development and collaboration. Her research focuses on biomaterials, prosthodontics, regenerative medicine, clinical competency, and assessment strategies. She also plays a significant national role through the Malaysian Dental Council and Malaysian Qualifications Agency in advancing dental education standards and professional accreditation.
