DR. MOHAMED NASHRUDIN BIN NAHARUDIN

Dr. Mohamed Nashrudin bin Naharudin or Dr Nash is a scholar, researcher and youth leader whose work bridges academia, social advocacy, and leadership development the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He completed his PhD from Loughborough University and Universiti Malaya under a Dual PhD Program. Notably, his doctoral thesis investigated the effects of breakfast intake on appetite regulation and subsequent cognitive function and exercise performance. Dr. Nash’s research contributions encompass areas such as athlete recovery, exercise metabolism, and the psychosocial dimensions of sports participation among youth. His scholarly work has been published in reputable international journals and has been cited for more that 200 times reflecting his contributions to these fields. He also has presented at numerous academic and policy conferences, contributing to the growing body of knowledge on sports, human performance and youth development globally. Dr. Nash has represented Malaysia in various youth leadership forums, dialogues, and exchange programs, promoting cross-cultural understanding and sustainable youth development. Locally, he has served in key leadership capacities within youth organizations and think tanks, mentoring emerging leaders and advocating for progressive youth policies. Apart from that, has actively participated in various media engagements, sharing his expertise on sports science and health-related topics.
