Prof. Ir. Dr. Nahrizul Adib Kadri is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Universiti Malaya, with research interests spanning BioMEMS, microengineering, biomaterials, IoT, and AI-driven diagnostics. His work focuses on developing affordable, practical medical devices—particularly for physiological signal monitoring and cell characterization—making him a valuable collaborator in translational healthcare innovations. Dr. Adib earned his degrees in Malaysia, Australia, and the UK, and has since built an impressive research portfolio: over 85 ISI-indexed publications, almost 3,000 citations, and collaborative projects with international partners across five countries. His intellectual property includes SAUNA32 (industrial design) and MIRY (IoT-based monitoring bracelet). Beyond the lab, he is one of Malaysia’s most visible STEM communicators, combining deep technical expertise with strong media acumen. As former Director of UM’s Corporate Communications Centre, he helped generate over 2,000 media appearances for the university, contributing to more than RM120 million in PR value. He also ghostwrites and contributes articles on science, innovation, and mindset. Dr. Adib is a Chartered Engineer (UK), a Professional Engineer (Malaysia), and an active community leader—making him a rare blend of scientist, strategist, and social advocate.
