CURRICULUM VITAE

DR. MOHD ZIEAUDDIN BIN KUFIAN

(NA)
Dr. Mohd Zieauddin Kufian (M.Z.Kufian) is a researcher at the Centre for Ionics Universiti Malaya (C.I.U.M), focusing on battery technology and energy storage. He has been involved in setting up a battery testing lab at C.I.U.M, which supports research and collaboration with industry. One of the projects he is working on is in partnership with Info Matic Power Sdn Bhd, developing batteries for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. He has also worked with several local companies and universities on projects related to battery materials and components. These include research on graphene-based batteries, electrodes for lithium-ion batteries, and supercapacitor materials. In 2024, he initiated a program called STEMeNERGY to introduce school students, especially in rural areas, to battery and energy-related knowledge through hands-on learning. In his role, Dr. Zieauddin also mentors students and assists other researchers in battery design, testing, and material selection. His work is focused on finding practical solutions to improve battery performance and safety. While his contributions are mostly behind the scenes, his aim is to support the wider goals of clean energy and education in science and technology.
