I am a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia, specialising in postharvest biotechnology, food security, natural products, and stem cell research. I hold a PhD in Biotechnology from UM, where my research focused on the cytotoxicity and effects of Moringa oleifera leaves on human Wharton’s Jelly mesenchymal stem cells (WJ-MSCs).  Proficient in English, Malay, and Mandarin (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), I actively support local and international students, particularly bridging communication gaps for students from China. I graduated with a CGPA of 3.95 during my undergraduate studies and completed an internship at the National Institute of Biotechnology Malaysia. Beyond academia, I am deeply engaged in English debates. Since 2015, I have represented UM in numerous international debate tournaments as both a debater and adjudicator. Currently, I serve as Assistant Coach for UM’s English Debate team, and recently won the Top 10 best Judges award in Asia. I am also the Director of ArtScience IAS, IAS Graduate Employability Coordinator, CMIIAS Research Coordinator, and Committee Member of Universiti Malaya Zero Waste Campaign. My combined expertise in multidisciplinary research, multilingual communication, and competitive debating allows me to bring a unique edge to advancing academia, driving impactful research, and building global academic connections.
