Dr. Yap Kah Hui is a Senior Lecturer and Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Department of Psychological Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya. He obtained his Ph.D. in Medicine from the National University of Malaya and holds Master’s degrees in Clinical Neuropsychology and Physiology (Research) in Leiden University, Netherlands, and University Kuala Lumpur, respectively. His clinical and research work focuses on neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and movement disorders, and social prescribing. He currently leads a multidisciplinary initiative on music-based interventions for dementia while conducting broader neurocognitive studies of neurodegenerative diseases in the Malaysian context. Professionally, He is a registered psychologist with the Malaysian Psychology Association, Singapore Psychological Society, and Dutch Association of Psychologists, and is involved in the Research Committee of the Asian Neuropsychology Association.
