Dr Ng Ka Ting is an anaesthesiologist at the Department of Anaesthesiology, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Malaysia. He holds an MBChB from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and a Master of Anaesthesiology from Universiti Malaya, and is building a subspecialty focus in neuroanaesthesia, aiming to provide expert perioperative care for patients undergoing neurosurgical and neurocritical procedures. He is a clinician-researcher with over 50 peer-reviewed publications, predominantly systematic reviews and meta-analyses spanning perioperative medicine, cardiac and vascular anaesthesia, critical care, and regional analgesia, including collaborative work published in the Anaesthesia, and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. His research contributions have been recognised with over 30 national and international awards, including the K Inbasegaran Research Award (MSA), the WFSA/FRCA Bristol Crammer Bursary Award, and First Prize for Poster Presentation at the 5th Congress of the Asian Society for Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care, Singapore, reflecting his early and sustained interest in neuroanaesthesia. Beyond clinical research, he serves as an invited peer reviewer for journals including Chest, BMJ Heart, and The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and regularly conducts systematic review and meta-analysis workshops for institutions across Malaysia. He is committed to advancing evidence-based neuroanaesthetic practice through continued clinical training, research, and mentorship.
