Professor Juliana Othman is an esteemed applied linguist and teacher educator at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, with over 30 years of experience in language education. She has held several key administrative roles, including Chair of the Centre for Research in Language Education (CRiLE), Head of the Department of Language & Literacy Education, and Deputy Director of the Centre for the Initiation of Talent and Industrial Training. Her academic excellence has earned her prestigious recognitions, such as the Fulbright Scholar Fellowship, a Visiting Scholar appointment at the University of Washington, and the Asian University Alliance Scholar. She has contributed significantly as an External Assessor for institutions such as UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and UIAM. Additionally, she has been involved in curriculum development and advisory roles for institutions like Wawasan University, UNISEL and the Institute of Teacher Education Ilmu Khas.
