Jillian Ooi studies seagrass ecology in Southeast Asia, exploring their distribution, environmental influences, and importance to coastal communities. Her research on root structure is aimed at improving seagrass restoration. She collaborates with local communities and uses the performing arts approach to promote seagrass conservation.
