Associate Professor Dr. Jeyakantha Ratnasingam is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist and Head of Endocrine Unit at Universiti Malaya. He has supervised more than twenty postgraduate students and numerous undergraduates in medicine. Dr. Jeya plays an active role in investigator as well as industry initiated clinical trials in the field and managed to secure more than RM 3 million in grants. He is currently national leader for the REDFINE 3 trial and principal investigator in multiple landmark trials including the PIONEER 6, SOUL, CANVAS, and FIGARO. He has published more than 80 papers in academic journals, including the pivotal Malaysian intervention thresholds for osteoporosis and use of prednisolone for Ramadan in AI patients. He contributed in the national guidelines for diabetes, thyroid and osteoporosis. Of note he pioneered the first Cardio- Renal- Metabolic (CaReMe)combined clinic in Asia at Universiti Malaya.  He is currently the President of the Malaysian Osteoporosis Society, Expert Member for Therapeutic-Use-Exemptions(TUE),Youth and Sports Ministry, and council member for MEMS. He is also Malaysia's representative for the Global Endocrine Leaders' Coalition and Asian Federation of Osteoporosis.
