Associate Professor Dr. Hidayah Mohd Fadzil is a science education scholar at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Faculty of Education, Universiti Malaya. She obtained her Bachelor of Science with Education degree from Universiti Malaya in 2008 and completed her PhD in Science Education through the university’s fast-track programme in 2014. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the prestigious Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) by the Nippon Foundation, Japan. She subsequently served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universiti Malaya under the Scientist–Teacher–Student Partnership (STSP) Project from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Hidayah is recognised nationally and internationally for her contributions to STEM/biology/science education, science teacher education, climate change education, curriculum innovation, and educational assessment.  With over 107 scholarly publications, involvement in 27 research projects, and leadership of 11 funded projects as Principal Investigator, Dr. Hidayah has established a strong record of research excellence, academic leadership, and impactful scholarship. At the national level, she has contributed extensively to STEM policy and curriculum development. She served as an expert contributor to the latest Malaysian STEM education framework, led the development of the Project Work Curriculum for the Malaysian Matriculation Programme, and was involved in the national textbook review panel.
