ChM. Dr. Hadi Fuaad, is a certified chemist under the Malaysia Chemist Act 1975 and a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaya. He earned his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (Chemistry) from the University of Queensland, Australia, with interdicipline research experience across six international institutions. Dr. Hadi specializes in modern peptide chemistry, focusing on the synthesis and functionalization of bioactive peptides for therapeutic and agricultural applications. His work combines computational modeling, solid-phase synthesis, and click chemistry to design antiviral and vaccine peptides, as well as peptide-based carriers for drug and biopesticide delivery. Through interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of chemistry, biology, and nanotechnology, his research aims to bridge molecular innovation with translational impact. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Hadi supervises postgraduate students and continues to advance Malaysia’s contribution to peptide science and chemical biology.
