Dr. Gan Yee Chin is a senior lecturer at Universiti Malaya, specializing in the Chinese language and applied linguistics. She holds a PhD from Tsinghua University. Her research interests include corpus linguistics, corpus-assisted discourse studies (CADS), and Chinese lexical semantics. She is the academic coordinator for the Master in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, a collaboration between Malaysia and China. Dr. Gan is actively involved in international grant collaborations with institutions in China and South Korea. In 2018, she was a visiting scholar at Syracuse University, USA.
