Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chew Fong Peng is the Chair for Hub of Language, Innovation and Teaching, Department of Language and Literacy Education, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM). She is a multilingual lecturer and specializes in Malay Studies. She teaches the Malay language education, Chinese language education, and Early Childhood Education. With over two decades of experience in the field, she has presented more than 170 academic papers at national and international conferences across Asia, Europe, and North America, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Greece, Japan, China, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Her extensive scholarly contributions include over 150 journal articles, 9 authored books, 67 conference proceedings, 36 book chapters, 10 edited books, and 20 translated works, spanning both academic and creative domains. As a committed editor, she has served as book editor for Taylor & Francis and contributed to national textbook development, notably as editor for Malaysian Year 4–6 History textbooks and Year 1 Art and Music Education. She has led or participated in 19 research projects, 8 of which she served as Principal Investigator. Her achievements have been recognized through numerous academic awards, including the University of Malaya Outstanding Service Award (2008), and multiple inclusions in Marquis Who's Who in the World (2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017–2019).
