Dr. Florence is a Senior Lecturer at the Chinese Studies Department, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya. She is the Assistant Secretary of the Association of Professionals in Curriculum and Education Instruction (APROCEI), an Exco member of the Writers Association of Chinese Medium Malaysia, a member of a few international associations, and a reviewer for international journals. Florence’s research foci include contemporary Chinese literature, literary criticism, literary translation, and education. Her latest research projects include Han Suyin studies, ethical literary criticism, Malay and Chinese literature, and translation studies. Besides contributing to Web of Science and high-indexed journals, Florence is also involved in several bilingual or trilingual translation works in Malay, English, and Chinese.
