Fatin Nur Majdina Nordin is a Senior Lecturer at the Programme of Applied Science and Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. Her interdisciplinary work integrates scientific knowledge with Islamic principles in Health Sciences, focusing on public health, health literacy, Islamic health, and cosmetic product safety. She holds a BSc in Applied Science with Islamic Studies, an MPhil on Salvadora persica in oral health, and a PhD evaluating cosmetic ingredient risks and labeling accuracy. Her research interests include health and mental health literacy, halal and sustainable consumption, and ethical practices. She is also active in women’s and youth empowerment initiatives grounded in Islamic values. She works on grant-supported interdisciplinary research advancing zero-waste and community sustainability, investigating Salvadora persica in oral care, and assessing cosmetic product safety and halal compliance. Her research also explores flora’s role in Gen Z mental well-being and supports women’s and youth empowerment, fostering culturally relevant, ethically grounded, and scientifically robust health solutions.
