Fatin Nur Majdina Nordin is a Senior Lecturer in the Programme of Applied Science with Islamic Studies, Department of Fiqh-Usul and Applied Sciences, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. Her work focuses on integrating Islamic knowledge and health sciences to enhance holistic health, well-being, and informed health-related decision-making through interdisciplinary approaches. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science with Islamic Studies (Biohealth Science), an MPhil on Salvadora persica (miswak) in oral health, and a PhD in public understanding of science, focusing on risk communication of cosmetic ingredients. Her research interests include health literacy, risk communication, behavioural sciences, halal and sustainable consumption, and ethical health practices from Islamic perspectives. She is also involved in community-based initiatives related to women, youth, and family well-being. Her current work develops interdisciplinary models that integrate Islamic values and scientific evidence to support health promotion, consumer awareness, and community well-being.
