Dr. Noordini Mohamad Salleh is currently a senior lecturer in Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. She received her BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Universiti Malaya in 2007. She pursued her MSc. and Doctoral Study, both in Chemistry Department, Universiti Malaya in 2009 and 2014, respectively. Her research focuses on synthesis and characterization of liquid crystalline polymers, focusing on their thermal and mechanical properties for applications like optical data storage and display devices. Her research also explores the extraction of cellulose from biomass and the use of palm fatty acids in liquid crystalline materials. Her teaching experience includes food chemistry, oleochemistry, and industrial organic chemistry. She is also an active researcher in the Unit of Research on Lipids (URL) and the Centre for Fundamental and Frontier Sciences in Nanostructure Self-Assembly (FSSA) at Universiti Malaya. Dr. Noordini is an associate member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and has published over 20 research papers in reputable scientific journals.
