Ms. Devi Peramalah is a Research Officer at the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Practice (CEBP), Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, both conferred by the University of Malaya. Since 2009, she has been responsible for coordinating and overseeing research and training activities in public health, supporting the Centre’s mission to advance epidemiological research and evidence-based practice in Malaysia. Ms. Devi is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Universiti Malaya, with her research focusing on healthcare utilisation among individuals living with diabetes. In addition to her doctoral work, she is engaged in several policy-focused research projects, including studies on migrant workers’ health, the Growth Monitoring Programme, and vaccine hesitancy regarding influenza vaccination among healthcare workers. She also contributes to the WPRO-RTC-RCS project, which aims to strengthen regional capacities in public health research and policy translation.
