Positions Professor in the Medical Education and Research Unit of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Malaya Courses and Educational Materials: .1)      Black Belt Academy of Surgical Skills - www.BBASS.org . This is a technique-based system of learning to master surgical skills. Developing teaching skills in others: 1)       Director of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers the RCSEd: 2019 - 2022.  (Deputy Director: 2016-2018) Remit was to professionalise surgical trainers.  Delivered a new strategy. 2)       Silver Scalpel Award since 1999-2022. This coveted award has national recognition for the identification of the Best Surgical Trainer in the UK.  It is now legally embedded into the annual awards. 3)       Visiting Professor Imperial College, London: 2020 - 2023. Faculty and co lead for Module Three of the online Masters in Surgical Education Program 4)       Shortlisted for The Most Innovative Teacher of the Year Award 2025– the Times ASEAN Awards, Macau, China 5)       INSPIRE AWARDS – 2025 established an faculty recognition program to identify and celebrate good teachers.
