Dr. Dalilawati Zainal is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Universiti Malaya with over 20 years of academic experience. She previously served as Programme Coordinator for the Master of Accounting programme and Course Coordinator for Student Holistic Empowerment. She holds a PhD in Accounting from UM and is an Associate Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. Her expertise spans ESG, sustainability reporting, corporate governance, financial reporting, digital innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship. She has published in reputable international journals and co-authored Development of Social and Environmental Accounting and Practices. She leads high-impact ESG and community initiatives that strengthen the digital and financial capabilities of B40 and rural micro-entrepreneurs. Dr. Dalilawati also serves as a postgraduate examiner and reviewer for leading international journals. She regularly contributes articles on sustainability and responsible business to Malaysian media. Her contributions were recognised through UM’s Excellence Service Awards in 2020 and 2025.
