DR. CHE CHONG CHIN

(Registered midwife)
Dr. Che is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. She holds a PhD from Universiti Malaya as well as a Master of Nursing (Education) and a Bachelor of Nursing from Monash University. With over 30 years of combined academic and clinical experience, she has established herself as a dedicated scholar, educator, and advocate for advancing nursing education, practice, and research. At the core of Dr. Che’s work is the development of a pioneering time banking model, designed to promote productive ageing and sustainable communities. In addition to this flagship project, she contributes to global efforts on environmental sustainability in healthcare through the Green-Care Toolkit and advances psychosocial strategies for preventing healthcare-associated infections. A prolific researcher, Dr. Che has published extensively in WoS- and Scopus-indexed journals, with scholarship spanning caregiving, advance care planning, cancer survivorship and women’s health. She also serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Nursing Open and actively reviews for leading international journals.
