            Caning A. Jaramillo R. originates from Caracas, Venezuela, signifying the initiation of a dynamic journey spanning over 15 years, marked by diverse and enriching experiences within the financial sector. His illustrious career boasts executive positions at esteemed financial institutions, including Mercantil Bank, Santander Bank, and Citibank, leaving a significant footprint across Latin America. Despite the demanding nature of his professional life, Caning exhibited exceptional dedication and adept time management skills, successfully pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the Central University of Venezuela. His ability to juggle work commitments during the day while dedicating himself to his education at night underscores his unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth. In 2000, driven by his passion for education, Caning embarked on a journey of higher learning. He pursued a postgraduate degree while concurrently training as a Business Teacher at the "Fe y Alegría" International School in Baruta, Miranda State, Venezuela. His dedication to education was further manifested as he obtained a teaching credential in Tertiary Education from Santa Maria University in 2001. During this period, Caning generously shared his wealth of knowledge by teaching Finance for Tourism Companies at the University New Profession in Caracas until 2002. Expanding his horizons into the realm of language education, Caning became an integral part of the International School of Campo Alegre in Caracas, Venezuela, delving into the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Commencing this practice in 2001, he successfully completed his Postgraduate Degree in Education at University Santa Maria in July 2003. The year 2003 marked a pivotal international shift as Caning relocated to Malaysia. Joining the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) as a Spanish Intern for the Middle School program, he honed his expertise in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. This culminated in him serving as an official Middle School Spanish Teacher until 2005. Caning's unwavering commitment to professional development is evident in his pursuit of professional courses in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language with Aula Cervantes Institutes in Malaysia and the Philippines, leading to the achievement of the Cambridge International Certificate for Teaching and Learning. In 2008, Caning returned to Gold Coast, Australia, achieving Australian Citizenship. Despite this significant milestone, his passion for teaching lured him back into academia. He lectured Spanish at tertiary levels for various esteemed universities, including University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). In 2015, Caning embraced a new chapter as the Account Manager for the Southeast Asia Region at "BankTrade," a prestigious American company based in New Jersey, USA. His teaching professional journey led him back to Kuala Lumpur in 2017, where he assumed the role of Spanish Lecturer at HELP College of Arts & Technology until September 2018. June 2018 witnessed another accolade for Caning as he added a professional certificate from Aula Cervantes in Kuala Lumpur, incorporating the latest European grids and methodologies for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Presently, Caning continues to make significant contributions to the academic world. Since August 1, 2018, he has been instrumental at the University Malaya, serving as the Industrial Practices Coordinator and the Spanish language teacher within the Asian & European Department at the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics. Beyond his academic pursuits, Caning is a versatile individual appointed as an official interpreter for numerous business meetings and conferences for prestigious institutions, including the Venezuelan Embassy, Embassy of Spain, Rubber Malaysian Corporations, and Malaysian Government Agencies. Furthermore, he has lent his expertise as the Master of Ceremonies for numerous events such as: The Latin American KL Festival and the Latin American Film festival for the (GRULAC) embassies, representing countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. He appears in the "Malaysian Books of Records" as part of the crew of DJs creating the longest Salsa Party ever celebrated in Malaysia. Caning's written articles have found a platform on reputable outlets such as The Star Newspaper, The Malaysian Gazette, Business Today, AsiaNews, Apakhabar TV, LifeAgencyNews, and TheYumlist.net, showcasing his expertise and thought leadership. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, his ventures extend into the realms of film production, winning multiple international awards, testifying to his versatility and unwavering dedication to exploring diverse fields of interest.
