Dr. Mohamad Nurul Azman Mohammad Taib is an academic and researcher based at Universiti Malaya, specializing in advanced materials and nano based materials. His work focuses on nanocellulose engineering, sustainable material development, and the application of machine learning and statistical modeling in material optimization. He is actively involved in postgraduate teaching, particularly in data analytics, reproducible research, and scientific data interpretation, supporting Master’s-level students in developing analytical skills. His research contributions include projects on TEMPO-mediated surface-engineered nanocellulose and ion-imprinted materials for selective rare earth element recovery, aligned with sustainable development goals and green technology advancement. He is currently leading and contributing to multiple research and community-based initiatives, including grant-funded projects such as the Universiti Malaya Research Excellence Grant (UMReG) and STEM outreach programs like the “Paper Planes” educational module aimed at enhancing physics learning among school students.
