Dr. Azman Ma’amor is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, whose research focuses on catalysis, nanomaterials, and sustainable chemical technologies for environmental and resource sustainability. His work integrates advanced materials synthesis, heterogeneous catalysis, and waste valorization strategies to convert natural and industrial waste into high-value functional materials for environmental remediation, energy, and biomaterial applications. He has authored 23 ISI-indexed publications (7 Q1, 13 Q2) with an H-index of 12 and over 370 citations, contributing significantly to research on photocatalysis, nanostructured catalysts, and hydroxyapatite-based materials. Dr. Azman has secured over RM460,000 in research funding as the Principal Investigator and has participated in collaborative projects totaling over RM1.8 million. He has successfully supervised multiple postgraduate researchers, including three PhD graduates, and continues to lead research on sustainable catalytic systems, waste-to-value materials, and advanced environmental technologies. His contributions have been recognized through international innovation awards and the Universiti Malaya Excellent Service Award, reflecting his commitment to impactful research, academic leadership, and innovation in sustainable chemistry.
