Dr. Norazlin has served in various capacities within the unit trust industry, leveraging the knowledge gained from her Bachelor of Economics (Hons) degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia. She transitioned into academia while pursuing her Master of Economics at the University of Malaya, and later earned a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Glasgow. Her doctoral research focused on Islamic finance, particularly examining the intersections of the Islamic capital market, political economy, social theories, and sentiment analysis. Her current research reflects a strong commitment to advancing knowledge at the nexus of Islamic finance, economics, and sustainability. She focuses on critical areas such as ESG performance, and the development of carbon markets to support a carbon-neutral future. Her work also delves into the transformative potential of Islamic finance in promoting ethical and inclusive financial practices. Additionally, Dr. Norazlin champions practical and inclusive economic empowerment initiatives, such as training programs for micro entrepreneurship, aiming to bridge gaps in socio-economic development.
