Dr. Nor Aziyan Yahaya is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing at Universiti Malaya (UM), Malaysia, with extensive professional experience spanning clinical nursing, nursing education, academic leadership, research, and professional service. She is currently listed among the academic staff in Nursing Science at Universiti Malaya. Dr. Nor Aziyan began her professional nursing career at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), where she served as a Staff Nurse from 1993 to 2004. She subsequently transitioned into nursing education and worked as a Nurse Educator at UMMC from 2004 to 2013 before pursuing her academic career at Universiti Malaya. This combination of clinical and educational experience has provided her with a strong foundation in both patient care and the preparation of future nurses. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science (2003), Master's Degree in Nursing Science (2010), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing (2022) from Universiti Malaya. She is also a Registered Nurse with additional preparation in oncology nursing and teaching. Her principal areas of academic and research expertise include oncology nursing, palliative care nursing, haematology nursing, medical nursing, and gerontology. Her research has particularly addressed the experiences and needs of patients with cancer, including symptom experiences and coping strategies among patients undergoing chemotherapy.
