Professor Dr Azlina Amir Abbas is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya, and a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in adult reconstruction, particularly hip and knee arthroplasty. She obtained her medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, completed her Master of Orthopaedic Surgery at Universiti Malaya, and underwent fellowship training in adult reconstruction at Universiti Malaya and Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital, South Korea. Professor Dr Azlina is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, subspecialty training, and curriculum development. She currently serves as Deputy Dean (Development and Infrastructure), Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. Her research interests include arthroplasty outcomes, prosthetic joint infection, and quality improvement in orthopaedic care.
