Dr. Mohammad Aminul Islam currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received the B. Sc. (with honors) in Physics and M.Sc. (Thesis) degree in Physics (major in Electronics) from the University of Chittagong, Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 2002, and 2004, respectively. He received the second M. Sc. (research) Degree in Electrical, Electronic and System Engineering from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia (UKM), in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in Renewable Energy from the same university, in 2015. He was Lecturer and Assistant Professor at The International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh and Southeast University, Dhaka, Bangladesh for several years. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Nara, Japan from 2015 to 2018, and at the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Putrajaya, Malaysia from 2018 to 2019. He is affiliated with the IEEE and IEEE young professionals, and has organized and served as a technical committee for a number of IEEE conferences since 2013. His research interests cover the thin-film and solar cell fabrication and characterization, analysis of PV module reliability, and also renewable energy systems, with over 50 technical publications.
