Professor Dr Ilhaamie is serving at the Department of Shariah and Management, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya.  She is currently the Editor in Chief for Online Journal of Islamic Management and Finance (OJIMF).  Prior to that, she was the head of department, PhD coordinator, external relation coordinator and head of Leadership and Wellbeing Unit, ADeC. Her current research interests are human resource management, entrepreneurship, service quality and Islamic management. To date, her total value of research grants is more than RM1.8 million as principal and co-investigator where she has secured from government, university and private sector. She has successfully published her research work in high indexed journals such as WoS and Scopus and also in books, book chapters, newspapers and conference proceedings. She has presented her research papers around the world such as Australia, Korea, Spain and Italy. Her research work has won several gold medals locally and internationally. In 2024, she was awarded with Visiting Professor at Universitas Muhammadiyah, Yogyakarta, Indonesia and fellowship at University of Wollongong, Australia in 2013. She is also active in consultancy work locally and internationally such as OECD and Ministry of Human Resource.
