DR. AMARUL ARIEF BIN MOHD SHUHAIMI

Dr. Amarul Arief Mohd Shuhaimi is a Malaysian academic and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management and Islamic Finance, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. His academic and research expertise centres on Halal industry management, organisational management, talent development, and food systems governance. He teaches and supervises postgraduate research in Islamic management, organisational behaviour, marketing, and the Halal industry, and contributes to academic governance through curriculum and programme review. Dr. Amarul holds a PhD from The University of Newcastle, Australia, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia, with a research focus on talent management and career development in the Halal industry. His scholarly work integrates sociological perspectives with management and policy analysis, particularly within Islamic and food-based institutions. He has published in Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals such as the Journal of Islamic Marketing and Journal of Culinary Science & Technology. His research interests include Halal governance, human capital development, certification and compliance systems, qualitative organisational research, and Islamic leadership and work ethics. He also contributes to national media discourse and engages in international academic collaborations across Asia, Australia, America and Europe.
