Dr. Aini Ayunni Mohd Raub is a materials scientist specializing in zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures, thin-film engineering, and nanofabrication for environmental, sensing, and electronic applications. Her research integrates crystallinity optimization, doping strategies, and template-assisted growth to advance the performance of nanodevices and photocatalytic systems. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications covering ZnO nanorods, nanocomposites, rGO-hybrid structures, and metal-oxide thin films, contributing significantly to photocatalysis, antimicrobial technologies, electrochemical sensing, and microfluidic-based nanodevices. Her work places strong emphasis on correlating growth conditions, structural defects, and resulting optoelectronic or catalytic behaviors, bridging fundamental materials science with practical technological solutions. She has also explored sustainable nanotechnology, wastewater treatment, and bandgap engineering to enhance pollutant degradation efficiency. Dr. Aini is actively engaged in multidisciplinary collaborations and brings expertise in sputtering, hydrothermal growth, colloidal lithography, SU-8 nanohole fabrication, and impedance-based device characterization. She aims to expand her research leadership in advanced functional materials, flexible electronics, and green nanotechnology.
