Dr. Aisyah Binti Ahmad Fisal is a Dental Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, Universiti Malaya, specialising in Special Care Dentistry within the Department of Orthodontics, Paediatric and Special Care Dentistry. She obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and later completed a Doctorate in Special Care Dentistry with First Class Honours at Trinity College Dublin. Dr. Aisyah also holds a Master of Science in Special Care Dentistry and Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Aisyah has undertaken various leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies for the Special Care Dentistry Unit, Course Coordinator, and Clinical Coordinator. At the national level, she serves as a member of the working committee responsible for developing guidelines on oral health management for adults with special needs. Her research interests include special care dentistry, dental behaviour support, gerodontology, dental anxiety, and sustainable dental practices. She has published in reputable international journals and currently leads multiple research projects as Principal Investigator. Dr. Aisyah is an active member of national and international professional organisations and contributes regularly as a speaker, examiner, and advocate for inclusive oral healthcare.
