BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Chang Jindong is an Associate Professor at the School of Physical Education of Southwest University, Director of the Institute of Motor Quotient at Southwest University, and an Associate Researcher at the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Sciences of the Universiti Malaya. He served as a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and was recognized as the first sports science and technology expert in Chongqing. From 2015 to 2016, he was seconded to the Quality Monitoring Center for Basic Education of the Ministry of Education of China to contribute to the development of the National Physical Education and Health Monitoring and Evaluation Program for students in compulsory education. He currently serves as the deputy editor-in-chief of Chongqing Sports Science, as well as an editorial board member and academic editor of PLOS ONE. His research primarily focuses on movement measurement and evaluation (including children’s and adolescents’ motor quotient), motor skill learning and control, sports health and promotion, physical education curriculum and pedagogy, and the application of artificial intelligence and big data technology in physical education and public health.
