BIOGRAPHY


Dr. Abdallah Abdellatif is an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in the development and application of artificial intelligence across diverse scientific and engineering fields. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master’s degrees in Control Engineering and Control Systems, and a PhD in Machine Learning, with research expertise in advanced machine learning, intelligent optimization, and data-driven modeling.

He is currently a lecturer at the Photonics Research Centre, University of Malaya, where he contributes to teaching, research, laboratory instruction, and student project supervision. His work focuses on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to emerging scientific and engineering challenges.

His research demonstrates the versatility of AI in addressing complex real-world problems across multiple application areas, including fiber optics and photonics, renewable energy forecasting and optimization, healthcare and cardiovascular disease detection, vibration analysis, industrial automation, and intelligent autonomous systems. His recent work on AI-driven applications has resulted in publications in high-impact journals across several research fields.

Dr. Abdellatif has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His research has received approximately 1,300 citations on Google Scholar (H-index 14) and approximately 680 on Web of Science (H-index 12). Through his interdisciplinary research, he continues to advance artificial intelligence as a versatile and effective tool for innovation across engineering, healthcare, energy, photonics, and autonomous technologies.
